Spencer and Danielle are the owners and operators of Westwood Brewing in Rathdrum, Idaho. What began as a concept between two brothers and their wives has grown into Westwood Brewing Company; a family-run business built on a passion for service, food, and craft brewing. Their vision was to create a welcoming place where family and friends could gather and enjoy great food, drinks, and community.
In 2016, Spencer and the family set a goal to purchase the building in Rathdrum. After pulling together their business plan, financials, and long-term vision, they partnered with the business services team at P1FCU. “We brought them our vision, our business plan, our financial plans; working through the whole deal with them was amazing,” Spencer said.
As a local family and local business, creating a sense of community has always been at the heart of Westwood Brewing. That shared commitment is one reason they enjoy working with and value the relationship with the credit union. “They’re local. They’re supporting our community,” Spencer shared. “They’re extremely important to us and our business.”
With the support and partnership with P1FCU, the building that once served as a bank transformed into Westwood Brewing Co. It’s become a place where people come to relax, enjoy meals, and spend time with each other and their community. “P1FCU is so easy to work with,” Danielle said. “We run all our business through them. They have been excellent to work with.”
