Meet Jake

Jake Bonner lived in Orofino, Idaho, most of his life. Orofino is a logging town, and like many of his classmates, Jake began working in the logging industry after high school. Jake and his father purchased a sawmill for their remote property in 1998. Sawing lumber quickly turned into both a passion and a business for Jake. He said, "It gives you a satisfaction I never had doing anything else."

Jake and his wife Colleen purchased a home and property in Lapwai, Idaho, in 2019. They moved the mill to their new property and changed the business name to Webb Creek Sawmill. Now, Jake's commute to work with dog Dusty is just a short walk.

At Webb Creek Sawmill, Jake uses selective logging to obtain logs of the correct size and species. Jake creates custom lumber for his clients who can't find the products they are looking for at big box stores. This includes almost anything from large structural beams to decorative trim.

P1FCU has been a key piece of the puzzle for Jake in terms of both his business and personal banking needs. "There would be no Webb Creek Sawmill without P1FCU," says Jake. "They've loaned me money when other people wouldn't, or the interest rate was so high it was impossible."
