The holiday season is right around the corner, and we’re taking the opportunity to provide some information about our annual Season of Giving campaign. As we serve our 13 counties in Washington and Idaho, we believe in people helping people; this is the mindset that helped us create Season of Giving. We started this annual campaign in an effort to spread the warmth of the season by providing aid to our communities throughout the months of November and December.
We’ll kick off the Season of Giving on November 1st with lunch provided at every branch from 11am to 2pm. From November 1st to December 23rd, we’ll be accepting donations from you and in exchange, we will enter you into a drawing to receive a $50 gift card! Every branch will draw at least two winners. We welcome you to donate the following:
- 2 cans of food
- $2 dollars
- A new or gently used coat
- An unwrapped toy
One of the greatest benefits of Season of Giving is that every single donation stays local to help community members in need. We partner with organizations such as Toys for Tots, the Salvation Army, and local food banks – we even personally deliver the items and the checks. Members are welcome to make as many donations as desired, and can earn an entry into the gift card drawing by donating each day (limit one entry per day).
The holidays can be an expensive time of year for everyone, and we at P1FCU certainly do not want to put you in a tight spot during the months of November and December. One of the ways we try to ease the financial tension is by offering Holiday Skip Payments for eligible loans (please see a loan officer for details on eligibility). The cost is $25 per skipped loan payment and you are either credited back the funds if set up on automatic withdraw, or not required to submit a payment if it is made manually each month. Skip Payment forms and letters are being mailed out, and you can choose between skipping either November or December. We hope that this program allows you to feel financially secure as you make larger purchases in preparation for the holidays.
As October fades into November, we would like to take the chance to say ‘thank you’ for the opportunity to continue serving as your financial institution. Every member counts, and we appreciate that you have chosen us as your credit union – we would not be here today without you. We are so thankful for each and every donation we receive during Season of Giving, and proud to partner up with our members to make a difference in our communities. We hope you are able to help us make the holidays a little brighter and a lot warmer for so many in need.
