Consumer Loan Officer - LC Valley

P1FCU is searching for the right candidate to fill a full-time Consumer Loan Officer position in the LC Valley. 

Experience Required:

Three to five years of similar or related experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interviews member loan applicants to gather and assess information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial condition. Explains loan programs to members, recommends loan options, and determines the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Forward to higer level for decisioning.
  • Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells services to members.
  • Prepares and/or reviews all loan documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Keeps informed of current trends in consumer credit.
  • Refer to Underwriting for release of collateral on existing loans, changes in loan terms, waivers of payments, due date change, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills
  • Professional appearance, dress and attitude
  • Proven track record of selling and servicing loans
  • Good mathematical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A two-year degree, completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or extensive in-house trainings or apprenticeship program.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment.
